Une finale qui mettait aux prises le vainqueur de la dernière Coupe de l’Émir du Qatar au champion de la Coupe du président des Émirats arabes unis.
C’est le premier trophée remporté par Abdou Diallo avec Al-Arabi SC, lui qui a rejoint le Qatar l’été dernier en provenance du Paris Saint-Germain.
